Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December. It is a very happy day for many boys and girls . Before the term ends in some schools , the children act a nativity or “birth” play, showing how Jesus was born in a stable.

On the twenty-fourth of December, all children are very excited. Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready. The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace , so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents. Later that night, Father or Mother will put presents in the sock, and leave others at the side of the bed.

On Christmas morning, the children wake up very early. Some even turn on the light at two o'clock, and most of them are awake by six o'clock although it is not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.Children look for their presents , and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared. At about one o'clock in the afternoon, the Christmas dinner is brought in . The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten . Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it . The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

My neighbor is from USA. He is a professor in a university here. He always says "Hi" when he sees any people in the neighborhood.

I went to his home this Christmas with my friends. I gave him a Christmas card. He was so happy. He took out some food and some drinks. And, we sang some Christmas songs with him and ate a little of food. He played the piano and we danced and played games. When it was getting late, we said goodbye to him. He thanked us for our visit and placed my Christmas card on his refrigerator. He also said, “Thanks, Little Cherry.” It was a good day.

How time flies! I'm no longer a Grade 8 student. I'm in Grace 9 now.

I never forget my experience about "Christmas Day". As the Christmas is coming.We are busy getting ready for the celebration performance. How we looking forward to such an exciting day! But something unexpected disrupted our plan. We are noticed that we are going to do our body examinetion that day. What was more. We Grade 9 students were busy with our study ,so we wouldn't take part in the performance. How disappronited we were when we heared this! It is our lastChristmas in the middle school and we can't celebrate it curselve.But we all love Christmas very much,it is the most important festival in western and it is also very important in our hearts,too.Christmas is always a very happy festival. Everybody in Grade 9 is sad, our last Christmas in the middle school is gone. We can only watch the performane by Grade 7 and Grade 8.

When we heard the song "We are all in this together",we almost cried.That song was the song that we danced for last Christmas .That song reminded of at a happy school life in Grade 8. That song reminged us of our friendship. That song reminded us of our wonderful memory.

The birth of Jesus had a story: In Nazareth, a city of Galilee. The virgin's name was Mary was betrothed to Joseph. Before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. While he thought about these things, Gabriel, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and told him did not be afraid to take Mary as wife. At one counter an old lady was choosing gloves red ones for her daugher in law, light blue ones for her niece, pink ones for her grand daughter, green ones for her sister and by the time she had found what she wanted, the counter was covered with pairs of all colors and sizes.

When the salesgirl had finally written out the bill and was about to turn to the next customer with a tired voice. "Thank you very much, madam," the old lady suddenly cried out, "Oh, I almost forgot..."——"Anything else, madam?" said the girl, "Yes," began the old lady, "I'd like to buy another pair, but I' m not quite sure about what exactly I should cloose. I wonder if you could help me." "Certainly, madam", was the girl's reply. The old lady then went on to explain that what she was looking for was a pair of gloves for a girl of her age. She was not at ail sure what color to choose, and the design was a problem too.

The tired girl did her best to help the old lady make up her mind, showing her ail kinds of gloves.

At last the chosen pair of gloves were wrapped up and paid for as well, and as the girl was about to turn to the next customer, the old lady handed her a little parcel and said, "These now, dear, these are for you and thank you for being so patient. I do hope you have a merry Christmas !"
