1The Speech of My Hometown
Hello Everyone!
My hometown is lhasa the largest city on the roof of the world. It is the heart and soul of tibet.I think lhasa is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is surrounded by towering mountains and rarely a day goes by when you don’ t see the deep blue sky. lhasa river is flowing quietly around the city.
lhasa is the mixture of tradition and fashion.
Firstly lhasa has a long history. It is the political cultural and economic center of tibet.It has lots of famous sights to offer. the potala palace is the most famous a magnificent and wonderful place to look at. In my opinion it is a unique artistic achievement of the tibetan people. likewise the architecture carvings and paintings throughout the city show hard work wisdom and bravery of our people.
Secondly led by the reforming and opening policy of china lhasa has changed a lot. many new things have arrived up here changing the face of the city. The old and new lie side by side in lhasa.
Many new buildings schools and roads have been built here. Furthermore the qing—zang railway leading to lhasa is being built. Many shopping centers have been opened and modern technology like telecommunications is spreading. The whole city looks prosperous and our tibetan people take on a new look.Every festival people walk around freely on the new wide and smooth streets wearing the beautiful traditional costumes.
Right now I am looking forward to a festival called shodün which comes in june for eating yoghurt. At this time all my family and i gather for a picnic together at the norbuli

Hello Everybody!
My hometown is Lianshui.It is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice. My hometown is not only the place where I was born but also the place I’ve never been able to leave. Two years ago I moved to another place to begin my college life. When I left I felt I was as a fish out of water. It has brought me lots of happiness.
I love my hometown. It is small and quiet. Every day I live here. I could feel good when my mother held me in her arms. My hometown is very beautiful and lovely. You can see the flowers grass and trees everywhere. When you walk in the street you can feel the gentle wind touching your face and breathe the fresh air. The climate here is very warm which is very suitable for people to do some outdoor activities.
I love the night of summer. People sit in the gardens of their houses or in the small restaurant chatting drinking and enjoying the delicious food which is abundant in our place. I love the sunrise. The gentle breeze brings us the fragrance of the flowers. The golden sunshine makes our hair slimmer and my heart will be filled with hope and happiness!
There is a river in front of my house. The river is so clear that I can see the bottom. Every summer I and my little friends go fishing and play with water. At dusk we usually go home with lots of fish. There are lots of bamboos in back of my house.
In spring I can see lots of birds among them. The birds are very beautiful. Their voice is very attractive. On each side of front gate are lots of gardenias which often give out fantastic fragrance.
Maybe someday I will have to leave my hometown. But no matter where I go I’ll never forget my hometown. Everything that it has given me can be given by other places. But my love won’t be changed because it is my hometown.
I’ll love my hometown forever.

Hello Everyone!
If you travel from the outside to Ya’an along a wide and clean road you will arrive at a beautiful place which only can appear in your dream But now I will tell you that you are not dreaming. This beautiful place named“TianQuan”——my hometown it stands near the Qingyi river at the foot of Erlang mountain It is a small city covered by green and it’s famous for the beautiful scenery excellent climate and long history.
In the past it was poor. People who once came here did not want to come again ，why?The streets were full of rubbishes and the buildings were old and small，when there were strong winds the buildings were shaking as if they wanted to say “Hello”to you.
But today，with the lead of our government many changes have taken place，life is much better than before.
First flowing on modern agriculture the leader guide peasants to use advanced technology to develop agriculture.Such as keeping chickens in cages planting fruit trees. As a result the economy developed reasonably.
Tourism is another way to develop economy .You know that there are many interesting places in Tianquan. If you come to visit these places the people there will offer the best for you and give you a lot of pleasure. The most famous one is “Laba He”.There the air is so clear and you can see trees and mountains everywhere some said：“In summer it is green like a fountain，and in winter it is white like a white jade so it attracts thousands of towns from all over the world ”.
Finally，the leaders pay much attention to the education，They have trained more and more skilled person. Most of then come back to our hometown and devote all their loves to our hometown.
In order to build our hometown into a land of economic prosperity political stability and beautiful landscape. It is succeed in depending on the joint efforts of the whole people and may be depending on several generation As a student I hope one day I can come back with more advanced knowled dge to develop my hometown ，I believe there will be a brighter future waiting for my hometown.

Hello Everybody!
My hometown is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.
But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.
In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories schools hospitals cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.
I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.
